Bambie came to us after she was hit by two cars. We were not sure if she would ever walk again and she lost all of her hair from mange due to the stress of the event. When she first tried to walk she kept falling back down two legs at a time and my son declared "look mom she looks like Bambie" and the name stuck.
I have no idea what breed she is but she reminds me of Santa's Little Helper, the dog in the cartoon "The Simpsons." She does occasionally have a reaction if she gets a flea on her which can cause her to loose her hair and her feet to swell so regular flea control is a must.
She is about 30 pounds of spunk. She reminds me of a teenager -- when told to go into her kennel she talks back then finally goes in unless a treat is used. She has plenty of energy for any energetic family with or without children.
