Meow, Woof, and Dine event at El Arroyo

Chips and salsa were plentiful at the Meow, Woof, and Dine dinner event last weekend. The event was a huge success and everyone had a great time.

Bob Harvey generously donated his book Me and You Too: Catalyst, and came to the dinner to autograph copies. If you haven't read this book, it is still available through Bob's web site, http://www.meandyoutoo.com/. If you have read it, you'll be happy to hear that the second book of the series is coming out soon. Watch Bob's web site for details.

Marc Gunn provided entertainment with his Irish drinking songs for cat lovers.

There were plenty of cat lovers in attendance, and we all enjoyed his performance, which included hits like "Wild Kitty" and "The Cat Came Back... the Cat's Perspective." Find out more about Marc and his music on his web site, http://www.marcgunn.com/.

A special guest was Fabio, a Thundering Paws cat who attended with his foster mom, Melinda.

Melinda and Fabio

Fabio is one of the sweetest "formerly feral" cats ever rescued by Thundering Paws. He's had some recent health problems, but he's recovering and doing great under Melinda's care. We are still accepting donations to cover his latest vet bills, which were enormous. Just let us know when you donate that it is for Fabio, and we'll direct it to the right place.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this event a success: El Arroyo, all the silent auction donors, Bob Harvey, Marc Gunn, all the Thundering Paws volunteers, and everyone who joined us at El Arroyo for the event. We appreciate your help -- Thundering Paws could not exist without it!
