We Are Looking for Great:
Fosters
Have you ever considered becoming a foster parent to an animal in need? If so, Thundering Paws would love to talk with you. Foster parents enable us to save more pets and allow an animal to live in a home environment while it awaits adoption by its forever family.
Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of Thundering Paws. We depend on our volunteers in so many ways! Every shift you cover not only saves funds, but it gives the cats new people to meet. We count on your help to enrich their lives, play with, and cuddle them.
Donors
The mission of Thundering Paws Animal Sanctuary is to offer a safe haven for cats who are homeless, neglected, injured, or abused. We help other animals when we have a foster for them. Your donation to Thundering Paws goes straight to work helping many animals – both at the Sanctuary and through outreach and animal rescue programs in our community.
Adopters
Looking For a Furry Friend? We can help find the right animal for you. We ask for a $150 adoption donation, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, FIV and feline leukemia testing for cats, heartworm testing for dogs, microchip, and all veterinary records. If for any reason an adoption does not work out, we will take the animal back at any time during his or her life and refund the adoption donation. Our goal is happy animals and for that, we must have happy adopters.
TNR Volunteers (Trappers)
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a management technique in which homeless, free-roaming community cats are humanely trapped, evaluated and sterilized by a licensed veterinarian, vaccinated against rabies, and then returned to their original habitat. It saves cats’ lives and is effective in controlling overpopulation. TNR improves the lives of cats, addresses community concerns, reduces complaints about cats, and stops the breeding cycle.
