Kitten season has begun! Shown above is Khan, born on March 18. He was found on a porch in San Marcos, Texas, with one sibling. The mother cat was either never seen, or disappeared soon afterward. A cold front arrived on March 20. The people at the house did not know how to care for the kittens, and they came to Thundering Paws, and went to one of our foster homes. Motherless kittens are very vulnerable at this age, and unfortunately, Khan’s brother Attila did not survive. So far, Khan is doing well and continuing to gain weight. In the picture above, he is about 3 days old. He’s already 10 days old, so the change has been dramatic. We hope to have updated pictures soon.
Khan and Attila were not our first kittens of the year.
Missy Elliot came to us from the Hays County shelter in February, when she was about a month old. The picture above was taken on February 22. She is now about 11 weeks old, and will be ready for adoption soon. Update 4/7/2020: Missy Elliot has been adopted.
Yes, we are doing adoptions, and we’re being very careful to maintain social distancing and otherwise limit transmission of the COVID-19 virus. If you’re ready to adopt, please complete our online adoption form.
Not ready to adopt? We are also in need of additional foster homes, volunteers, and donations. Thank you for everything you’re doing to help people and animals.
