Dash is a semi-tame cat, and Thundering Paws resident. He wasn’t eating well, and went to the vet yesterday. Tentative diagnosis: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, likely to be an ongoing problem. The vet gave him a steroid shot, and we’re monitoring closely to see if that improves his appetite. Please donate to help cover his medical treatment. Thank you!
In a day or two, Dash will rejoin his companions, and again have access to the catio:
Ariel is a very overweight girl who has trouble cleaning her backside. Our choices are either to allow her to stay overweight and stay with her friends in the room and attached catio where she lives, or to put her in a cage, where she will be miserable and get no exercise. We’ve chosen the former.
Ariel has lesions that need to be biopsied and, if the results support surgery, to have surgery. Because of her size, she will need a work up before anesthesia. Approximate cost with biopsy, work-up, and surgery $1,200. Please donate to help her.
Ariel also needs a home. She was born 8/21/2010. We have shown her for adoption many times, although she has never shown well. That means she cowers, hides, or, on her worse days, hisses and growls at people. At home, she’s sweet, loves being petted, and is fine with the five cats with whom she shares a room.
