Purrsilla came to Thundering Paws in 2018. She gave birth to four kittens, and cared for them until falling ill to an internal infection, acquired while she was homeless. In January 2019, she tested negative for the infection for the first time! She has 3 more months of treatment, then another test in April. Learn more about Purrsilla.

Bella, a Special Cat
Bella had been losing weight, and not eating much for days at a time. We took her to vets several times. They would give something — a new food, or probiotics, or a steroid shot — and she would eat for a few days or a week. Most recently, at Firehouse Belterra, we took a chance on a thyroid test. It showed hyperthyroidism. We have been able to get medicine into her since November 25, and she’s still eating!
Editor’s note: Bella is one of my favorites. She likes attention, but can be a challenging. Not a cat for people who take offense easily. She doesn’t like other cats, either.
