Adopt Bart!

Adopt Bart!  He is a very beginner-friendly cat. Does not like other kitties, so best seen in his foster home. Contact Thundering Paws to learn more about Bart, and to arrange a meeting!

He can tolerate much more than most cats usually do. You can hold him for a while, pet him on the front paws, put clothes on him, etc.

He will meow to ask you to stop but he rarely shows any aggression. So sad that he does not do well with other cats.

He doesn’t mind getting wet, although we haven’t given him a bath. He loves to drink out of somewhere other than his water bowl.

He regularly gets his nails clipped and he is fine with it as long as it’s daytime and he has some treats nearby!

He never scratches on wooden furniture.

He will “sit” in the presence of food or treats. His foster is teaching him to “shake” now.

He does not like boxes or small spaces where he can get stuck, nor high places.

He has learned to sit and shake hands for treats.

Bart can be seen in his foster home. To meet him, contact Thundering Paws to schedule an appointment to meet this adorable, sweet cat.

Bella, a Special Cat

Bella had been losing weight, and not eating much for days at a time. We took her to vets several times. They would give something — a new food, or probiotics, or a steroid shot — and she would eat for a few days or a week. Most recently, at Firehouse Belterra, we took a chance on a thyroid test. It showed hyperthyroidism. We have been able to get medicine into her since November 25, and she’s still eating!

Editor’s note: Bella is one of my favorites. She likes attention, but can be a challenging. Not a cat for people who take offense easily. She doesn’t like other cats, either.
