4/4/2020 update: Razi has been ADOPTED!
What a cheerful presence! Razi the tabby loves people, loves attention, gets along with non-aggressive dogs, seems OK with other cats. He’s a young adult, fully vaccinated, neutered, healthy, and ready for adoption! He doesn’t do well at adoption events, so please contact us to meet him. Or, become a volunteer and ask to spend time with him. He would love that!
Beauregard is a free-roaming, “semi-owned” cat. He has people that feed him, but relies on Thundering Paws for medical care. In April, we had him neutered. We had to trap him, to get him to the clinic:
He’s always had some sort of eye problem. Recently his eyes were infected, and almost completely shut …
.. so we took him to the vet clinic again. He had entropion, meaning the eyelashes were turned toward his eyes and irritating them. Entropion is very uncomfortable, and can damage the eyes. They did surgery to correct both lower eyelids. Beauregard is recovering at Thundering Paws.
This is Beauregard post-surgery:
Hair around his eyes has been shaved, making his facial scars more noticeable. He doesn’t look great in this picture, but his eyes are open, and there is no goopy discharge. We will take him back to the vet next week, for a re-check. Meanwhile, he’s in a cage, and wearing a cone to protect the eyelids while they heal. We’re giving him special care several times a day. He is super friendly, but we don’t think he would tolerate indoor life.
